Indian Cinema actor Akshay Kumar sold his apartment in Borivali East, Mumbai, for Rs 4.35 crore. Recorded in March 2025, this sale is of an apartment in Oberoi Sky City, a residential project by Oberoi Realty, which is spread over 25 acres. It’s a ready-to-move-in complex offering different types of apartments, including 3BHK, 3BHK+Studio, and Duplex apartments.
Having a carpet area of 1,073 sq. ft. this apartment of the popular actor comes with two parking spaces. Property transaction includes stamp duty payment of Rs 26.1 lakh and registration charges of Rs 30,000.
Oberoi Sky City is performing well in the real estate market, with 208 sale registrations recorded between March 2024 and February 2025. The total transaction value during this period was Rs 818 crore, and the average resale price in the project is Rs 44,577 per square foot.
As per property records, Akshay Kumar originally purchased the apartment in November 2017 for Rs 2.37 crore. With a sale price of Rs 4.35 crore in 2025 the appreciation in his investment is 84% over 7 years and 4 months. For a suburban apartment, this is a spectacular performance in wealth growth. The actor also sold another apartment in the same building in January 2025 for Rs 4.25 crore, which was also purchased by him in 2017.
Apart from Akshay Kumar, several other Bollywood celebrities have invested in Oberoi Sky City. Amitabh Bachchan and Abhishek Bachchan reportedly bought multiple properties in this project in May 2024.
